Plurilingualism–External Resources
In this section, you will find a series of external resources to help you develop a practical understanding of the theoretical framework, pedagogical tools, and concepts related to plurilingualism. This resource bank includes introductory videos, guides, sources, and links from leading authorities such as the Council of Europe (the CEFR), the plurilingual lab at McGill University, the Goethe Institute, and the LINCDIRE project. It also includes material on assessing plurilingual competence and a selection of digital tools that can support a plurilingual learning environment. The resources, available for various instructional levels and in multiple languages, delve into specific pedagogical practices like translanguaging, mediation, cross-cultural analysis, and cross-linguistic analysis.

Plurilingualism: cultural and linguistic diversity (Spanish)
This pedagogic resource includes 5 sessions with multiple plurilingual activities to incorporate in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in primary school. These activities are contained in a masterâs level thesis from the University of Oviedo, submitted in 2021, in Spain.

This resource is a workshop on plurilingual assessment designed for teachers, facilitated by Belinda Steinhuber. The resource includes
a handout with 6 example language tasks/exams that assess studentsâ plurilingualism, a video workshop, presentation slides, and a background reading.

Plurilingual Guide
This guide is useful for teachers who are new to plurilingual pedagogies. It provides a brief overview of what plurilingualism is, the theory behind it and the pedagogical strategies it uses. It then provides ten sample scenarios that could be easily implemented in your language classroom

A comprehensive eBook that reviews the theory behind plurilingualism, before providing context on language teaching across languages at the sentence and text level. Focused on how home languages can benefit learning of English, but principles transferable to other language teaching contexts. Includes example lessons using a plurilingual approach.

The project has downloadable, ready-made one-off plurilingual scenarios for multilingual learning. The project has three pillars: technology, plurilingualism and teaching.

Lost Wor(l)ds: Multilingualism in Schools
The project takes its name from and is an extension of âThe Lost Words: A Spell Bookâ by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris, which focuses on reconnecting children with nature and inspiring them to engage with the magic of language. It contains many multilingual activities contributed by different schools.

NFLC e-Learning Portal
The NFLC e-Learning Portal houses an expansive catalogue of language learning and assessment materials: over 7,000 items in dozens of languages and dialects. For easy searching, items in the Portal are tagged by language, difficulty level, modality, topic, type, learning objective, and publication year.

PluriMobil
PluriMobil is a teaching tool that offers activities and materials to support the plurilingual and intercultural learning of students for the phases before, during and after a mobility activity. This tool can be adapted to multiple mobility projects across all educational levels.
