AALE Toolkit
The Toolkit’s Background ℹ️
This toolkit has been developed as part of the Advancing Agency in Language Education (AALE) project, a multi-year, collaborative research based on supporting teacher agency in plurilingualism, technology-mediated teaching and learning (Tech-mediated), and the action-oriented approach (AoA).
The AALE Toolkit is the product of significant collaboration between scholars in applied linguistics and language education and teachers across Canada who work in a variety of language classrooms.
Inspired by the deep connections between plurilingualism, AoA, and Tech-mediated, AALE conceptualizes the toolkit as a constellation of resources.

Our Goal 🎯
Is not to offer additional rules or prescriptions you must remember when teaching, but to provide advice and examples of innovative practice to inspire your own creations and to support your (and your students’) agency.
The toolkit provides guidance, ideas, and suggestions for teachers to create their own materials, lessons, scenarios, and curricula based on innovative approaches to language education.

The Toolkit’s Resources 🔍

AALE Hands-on guidance resources: designed to support your teaching and curriculum development.
